For Historic Environment Scotland, Julie provides hands-on support to the in-house communications team, helping with heritage and culture storytelling and stakeholder engagement.
Recently, she supported the delivery of a high-profile ministerial media event at the Elgin Skills Training Centre, supporting logistics, media materials, and messaging to highlight HES’s commitment to traditional skills training and apprenticeships.
Julie has a long-standing relationship with HES. In a previous role, she developed the PR strategy and led a multi-channel campaign for the launch of The Engine Shed, Scotland’s building conservation centre in Stirling, including media outreach and community engagement.
“I’ve worked with Julie for over 15 years across agency and in-house roles. She brings leadership, creativity, and senior-level expertise to every project, delivering clarity and insight whether managing media campaigns, stakeholder engagement, community outreach, or crisis planning.
“Julie is both strategic and hands-on – actively involved in every stage and consistently delivering results. My team love working with her.”
